DIY Round Studded Heels

Round "studs" are easy to fake because they available in most craft stores in the scrapbooking section!

Supplies:
- scrapbooking embellishments that look like the ones on the shoes above
- E6000 glue
- heels you are willing to permanently alter
- stick glue or double sided tape

Directions:
1. figure out where you wish to put your embellishments on your shoes. do you want just the heel or just the main part of the shoe and not the heel. you decide! :)
2. if you are like me and like everything to be perfect until you glue, I would suggest making an arrangement on your shoe using the stick glue or double sided tape before you use the E6000.
3. once you have figured out your layout, start gluing your embellishments on!
4. let dry completely for 24 hours or so to make sure the hold has had time to set.
5. Wah-bam! New, one of a kind shoes for your weekend adventures!

DIY Paint Splatter Shoes

I've been seeing this a lot lately; not only on shirts, but on shoes!

grab some paint and splatter away!

i think this effect would look really cool on black leather and neon paint!

remember, if you are using canvas, use fabric paint!

also, you can always spray paint your shoes to a solid color if you wish! just remember to protect the inside with painters tape or something so you don't paint the inside of the shoe! icky...

I just came across these all of these amazing studded Jeffrey Campbell Shoes!!

If you for some reason are bored with your plain Jeffrey Campbell's and they are old and you are getting a new pair anyways, order some studs (screwable ones) and go to town. for the sole, use some industrial strength glue like E6000

DIY Headphone Laced Shoes/Boots

Okay so I know I already used this image for a previous DIY  (the post before this actually), but i just noticed that the boots are laced with what appears to be metallic headphones.  Those seem mighty expensive but here's a better idea.

We all have prolly gone through at least 3 pairs of headphones. First the ones that came with the iPod get ruined. Then you start going through the $9.99 jelly colored pairs from wal-mart. Those come in FANTASTIC COLORS btw. What do you do with those when they break? Throw them away? NO!

Lace up those boots or shoes that need a little spicing up with some headphones! Using neon colors against white would look really awesome.

& If you crave that metallic look, you could always spray paint your headphones? I'm not sure how that would work out, but it's worth a shot, right?

I finally got my 2 new pairs of shoes!

1. Leopard Print Pumps - obvs I'm not going to do anything with these. They're so freaking hot.

2. Nude Pumps - I couldn't find a picture of these cuz apparently they're sold out where I bought them but i personally HATE nude pumps so I will be glittering these. I'll put a picture of some similar.

they kinda look like this. except they're shiney and lighter nude color.

The only question that now remains is...

WHAT COLOR SHOULD I GLITTER THEM?!?!?

DIY Wilma Costume && Procrastination aka story of my LIFE

So, right now I am doing "study hours" which is a thing my house makes us do to make sure we study. Well technically this is super counter productive thing because I should be at the studio painting right now instead of sitting in a room pretending to study (aka why I'm blogging haha).

Tomorrow night is the bus party and if you read back earlier, I'm going to be Wilma Flintstone and my bestie Liz is going to be Betty Rubble.

I have yet to make my dress. I went and got super cheap fabric today and some big foam balls for her giant rock necklace :). Now all that's left is for me to make the dress and stuff. So this post is more for me to go off for later (at 10 when I'm done with study hours) so I can just start sewing so I'm not up late. I have 8am tomorrow.

But I figured, "Hey, this is DIY so I might as well post about it!"

I will take pictures of my process if I remember and have enough time tonight to do so. The dress is super easy so it's not like it'll be super complicated.

Dress: I think I'm going to put tulle under the bottom part because it poofs out at the waist. It depends I guess. I'll see how it looks on my hips when I cinch the waist first. And if it doesn't poof out like it does in the cartoon, I guess I'll add a layer of white tulle that I have lying around.
I'll do the one shoulder on the left shoulder (like the cartoon)
Of course I'm chopping up the bottom of the dress in a zig zaggy pattern so it looks just like the cartoon again haha

Necklace: I bought big-ish white Styrofoam balls. I still might paint them white tonight to give them more of a well, white look to them. so they don't actually look like straight styrofoam haaa.

Shoes: No idea on this one. We're going to be walking around, on a bus, then at a bar, then back on a bus & I think that going bare foot def isn't an option haha. Too bad I don't own a pair of nude pumps! That'd be awesome! But since I don't own nude OR white (yeah I know blah blah who doesn't own white or nude heels? Well, I don't. I don't own any white dresses and I never have a need for nude or white pumps so uhmmm yeah anyways), so I guess black will have to work.
I only own 2 pairs of black heels. One is like this but with slightly thicker straps and it's completely black and it has a WAY thicker/bigger platform:

if you like these you can find them at desireclothing

the other option is an oxford wedge like Jeffrey Campbel's Suede Lace Up Wedge. (my shoes actually look just like these!)

I just don't know. I haven't broken in the wedge yet & the last thing I want is my feet to hurt super bad on a big night like this haha I know I can walk in the strappy heels all night so I'll prolly go with those :)

DIY Gold Quote Flats

You know all those pair of plain flats that are on clearance right now? Grab em. :)
Take a metallic sharpie or metallic paint (if you are crafty with a thin brush like me). And put a cute quote on the toes of one :) or both would be cute. like put "keep" on the right foot and "calm" on the left would be freaking adorable.

DIY Removable Shoe Jewelry

There are tons of shoes you can buy with studs and chains on them, but if you're like me, you like a shoe with an investment. I'm more likely to wear a shoe I can wear with almost anything, than one I can wear only with certain outfits. So what's a girl to do? Well, how about investing in a plain shoe, and DIYing your own removable shoe jewelry!?

Chain + lobster clasp + jump rings = crazy awesome custom trend.

Mix and match chain types and colors to create a look that suits you and your outfit!

I'm going to work on an anklet one for my heels. I love the chain look added to pretty much anything. I will gladly document my DIY process for you lovely readers :)
